Countless seniors suffer from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease every day. They are the more heart-wrenching diseases to watch an aging loved one suffer from. Now, University College of London may have discovered a new way to detect the disease 15 years before there are any effects.

 

According to Express, there has been development in a new scanning process that can detect, locate, and measure the proteins that cause Alzheimer’s. These proteins appear years before the actual disease has an impact.

 

New treatments are being developed on how to handle the proteins. There are new trials for experimental drugs and blood tests are being developed. These new scans can prove to be extremely valuable while stepping toward a cure.
